The family foster care rates are reviewed and revised annually, based on legislative action. The standard family foster care maintenance rate includes the cost of (and the cost of providing) food, clothing, shelter, daily supervision, school supplies, a child’s personal incidentals, and liability insurance with respect to a child.

 

The family foster care maintenance rate is computed by month and includes an amount for clothing and incidentals. Maintenance rates effective July 1, 2019:

The “monthly” rate is provided for your reference. The child’s foster care reimbursement is paid at a daily rate, specific to the actual number of days in the service month. Basic clothing and incidentals needs are embedded into the rate for ongoing purchase.
